Water: With a gross average of 55 inches per year, Colombia has sufficient rainfall for year-round harvesting and storage.
Growing Seasons: Sub Tropical growing seasons. Good climate makes for relatively easy food growing.
Power: Solar power is quite viable in Colombia, though there are cloudy days and weeks, similar to Belize.
Access: You can’t easily drive from the States to Colombia. Getting to or from your Colombian bug-out spot could be an issue in the next big crisis.
Natural Disaster Risk: Colombia is subject to volcanoes, cyclones, flooding, earthquakes, and more. It has a high incidence of natural disasters.
