Day 25 Assignment

You know the drill!

If you think Italy might be your dream Europe location, then bring the Boot to your doorstep in whatever ways you can.

Italy, perhaps more than any other country discussed in detail in this course, has a culture that has been fully exported over hundreds of years… You have a wealth of fabulous options for getting some Italy into your life. Operas, pasta, classic films, wine, mozzarella… so much of Italian culture is already well known and found around the globe—so find a way to bring it into your house.

And if perchance you’ve already decided on one of the countries we’ve already discussed, then you’ve likely already become somewhat familiar with the culture you’re studying. So take it up a notch!

One of the best ways to intensify your cultural education is to graduate from learning the language from a free app to taking real classes… not only will you make faster progress learning the language, you’re also likely to get much more out of the classes. Language class packages often include things like weekly conversation groups with native speakers, dance classes featuring a local dance, a cooking class featuring a local dish, etc.

Looking for a way to “level up” even further? Get on a plane! The best way to get to know the culture, of course, is for you to visit for yourself. Whichever country tops the list for you by the end of this course, you shouldn’t waste too much time in visiting for yourself…
