Day 3 Assignment

1. Figure out what climate your homestead is subject to, addressing all the mitigating factors and taking microclimates into account.
2. Think about ways you could reduce your energy usage in your particular climate profile, putting nature to your advantage.
3. Think about what kinds of strategies might benefit your homestead’s food production. Would windbreaks make life easier for you? Would additional shade lower the energy costs of your home?
