Think through your personal objectives, situation, and priorities in the context of what Portugal has to offer…
Does Portugal sound like a place that might make you happy for years to come?
We have several more countries to talk about before the course is through, so if Portugal doesn’t seem like the right fit, no problem.
Make a list of the reasons Portugal turned you off and another list of anything that you did find attractive in it, if anything. Hold this list up against the list you started on Day 1 and compare the two. Is there anything new from the Portugal list worth adding to your original checklist?
Based on this exercise, begin to connect the dots and imagine which of the countries might be the best fit based on your preferences if not Portugal.
If, however, you’re thinking Portugal might be for you, start to do some personal research today. Read up on the country and start to think about what region sounds like it would suit you best… once you narrow things down, plan a scouting trip to get a feel for your top choices in person.
