- Do you like dogs? If not is there any animal that you do like that might assist your self-sufficiency endeavor?
- If you have time and enough space for some geese, get a pair to assist you gardening. They are fun companions to have around.
- Could dog-rearing or training be a viable business in your area?
- If you have an interest in specialty or pedigree breeds of any sort, consider the financial possibilities of a kennel of stable.
- Consider if you have space for a pig. It is a great recycling animal and a wonderful addition to any homestead.
