Today your assignment is simply to continue your personal research into the country(ies) that interests you…
Have you narrowed it down to one country? How about region within the country? Have you looked into all the little towns and villages in the region? Or if you’re looking into cities, have you looked beyond the capital?
Start with as broad a scope as possible when thinking about where to move—don’t rule anything out off the bat. Then slowly start to narrow your focus, zooming in on the places that are the most appealing.
And when you’ve finally decided on that special town (after taking in-person scouting trips, of course), don’t forget that the hunt doesn’t end there. You still need to scout out neighborhoods—heck, you might even be able to narrow it down to the very side of the street you’d like to live on.
Do as much of that recon as you can now, ahead of time.
And remember, whenever you feel a little lost, go back to that list you started on Day 1.
